Orzhov Infinite Drain (Standard)

A Standard-legal combo deck using only cards from your collection, built around Enduring Tenacity and Bloodthirsty Conqueror to create an infinite life drain loop, supported by lifegain triggers and removal.

The core combo: Enduring Tenacity makes opponents lose 1 life whenever you gain life, and Bloodthirsty Conqueror makes you gain 1 life whenever an opponent loses life—any lifegain trigger starts an infinite loop that instantly wins the game. Authority of the Consuls, Healer's Hawk, and Kambal, Profiteering Mayor provide reliable lifegain triggers. Case of the Uneven Feast provides lifegain when creatures die. Bitter Triumph and Elspeth's Smite remove threats while also gaining life, feeding the combo.

Keep hands with at least 3 lands and a cheap lifegain source (Healer's Hawk, Authority of the Consuls, Kambal) or early removal. Hands with both combo pieces are ideal. Mulligan hands with only expensive cards or a single color of mana.

Early game: Deploy Healer's Hawk or Authority of the Consuls to start gaining life and slowing opponents. Use Bitter Triumph or Elspeth's Smite to remove key threats. Mid game: Play Kambal, Profiteering Mayor to generate additional lifegain triggers from opponent's spells. Late game: Resolve Enduring Tenacity and Bloodthirsty Conqueror together. Any lifegain trigger (attack with lifelink, opponent casting a spell, creature dying with Case of the Uneven Feast, or removal with lifegain) automatically wins the game. Sorin of House Markov provides a powerful lifelink threat and can also trigger the combo.

The combo is vulnerable to instant-speed removal on either piece before the loop resolves. Mass removal (e.g., Sunfall, Farewell) can reset the board. The deck has limited card draw, so efficient play is crucial. Graveyard exile effects can hinder recursion.
