Mono-Red Dragonhawk Burn
StandardDeck Strategy
A fast mono-red burn deck that uses cheap direct damage and aggressive creatures to pressure the opponent, then closes with Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest.
Burn spells like Shock, Burst Lightning, Lightning Strike, Torch the Tower, and Twin Bolt clear blockers or hit face while keeping the opponent's life total low. Might of the Meek and Sure Strike turn a single small creature into a lethal threat. Demand Answers provides card advantage by discarding extra lands to find more gas. Searslicer Goblin is an early attacker, and Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest is a flying finisher that rewards the cheap spells you cast all game.
Keep any hand with 2-3 lands and at least two cheap spells or one early creature. Mulligan hands with 0-1 land or no early plays. With one land, only keep if you have a one-drop creature and several one-mana burn spells.
Early: play a low-cost creature and use Shock or Burst Lightning to remove blockers or hit face. Mid: continue attacking with boosted creatures and use Lightning Strike, Abrade, and Twin Bolt to clear the way. Use Demand Answers to filter extra lands into more burn. Late: cast Dragonhawk as a flying threat and finish with remaining burn spells. Keep the pressure on and force the opponent to answer every threat.
This deck is weak to life gain, cheap instant-speed removal, and board wipes. It has modest card draw and can run out of steam if the game gets prolonged. It also struggles against heavy blockers that cannot be burned out quickly.
