Golgari Cache Grind

A Golgari attrition deck that uses Reassembling Skeleton and Vampire Gourmand to keep a board presence, while Cache Grab fills the graveyard and lets you return big finishers like Pelakka Wurm and Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant.

Reassembling Skeleton returns from the graveyard every turn, which makes it excellent fodder for Vampire Gourmand. Sacrificing it repeatedly triggers Enduring Tenacity to drain the opponent, and if the Skeleton dies in combat instead, you simply bring it back next turn. Cache Grab fuels this plan by milling cards into the graveyard while also retrieving the Skeleton or a top-end spell. Late-game threats like Massacre Wurm, Pelakka Wurm, and Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant either stabilize you or end the game quickly.

Keep hands with at least three lands and early interaction. Cards like Murder, Bitter Triumph, and Cache Grab set up the game plan. Avoid hands full of expensive Wurms and no early defense. A turn-three Vampire Gourmand plus Reassembling Skeleton is a strong start, so prioritize those pieces when available.

Early: use removal to survive and land Reassembling Skeleton, Vampire Gourmand, or Scavenging Ooze. Cache Grab starts filling the graveyard and finding your key pieces. Mid: start sacrificing the Skeleton to Vampire Gourmand to create a growing threat or force favorable blocks. Use Enduring Tenacity to turn each death into life loss. Late: resolve Pelakka Wurm to gain life, Massacre Wurm to punish the opponent’s board, or Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant to close the game.

This deck is vulnerable to graveyard exile effects, such as Scavenging Ooze or cards that remove graveyard cards, because Reassembling Skeleton and Cache Grab rely on the graveyard. Fast aggro can also race you before the late Wurms come down, so be careful about mulliganing into enough removal.
