Rakdos Goblin Treasures
StandardDeck Strategy
A low-curve Rakdos Goblin deck that swarms the board with Goblin tokens, converts expendable bodies into Treasures and cards, and finishes with sacrifice payoffs such as Gev, Scaled Scorch and Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate.
Goblin Tomb Raider and Flick a Coin generate Treasures that ramp you into Krenko, Baron of Tin Street and Krenko, Mob Boss, and those same Treasures are perfect sacrifice fodder for Fanatical Offering (sacrifice an artifact or creature, draw two cards, create a Map token) and for the bargain costs on Torch the Tower and Candy Grapple. Krenko, Baron of Tin Street turns every permanent you lose into a fresh Treasure, while Goblin Surprise, Raging Battle Mouse, and Krenko, Mob Boss keep the Goblin count high enough to always have something expendable. Bloodghast returns from the graveyard for free to be sacrificed again and again, Midnight Reaper and Phyrexian Arena refill your hand, and Wrenn's Resolve provides red impulse draw so the deck never runs dry. High-Society Hunter and Starving Revenant reward the sacrifice loop, and Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate rebuys your cheap Goblins from the graveyard tapped and attacking. Owned-card swaps made here: Gev, Scaled Scorch and Fanatical Offering are the only true additions to the shell, replacing Bitter Reunion, Transmogrant's Crown, and one Candy Grapple; every rare and mythic in the list is already in your collection, and everything else is a common or uncommon.
Keep hands with two to four lands, at least one one-drop Goblin (Goblin Tomb Raider or Goblin Javelineer), and either a token generator (Goblin Surprise, Raging Battle Mouse) or a card-advantage engine (Midnight Reaper, Phyrexian Arena, Fanatical Offering). Mulligan any hand with zero lands, five or more lands, or no play before turn three, because this deck wins by curving out and cannot afford to stumble.
Early: deploy Goblin Tomb Raider and your other one- and two-drops, use Flick a Coin and Torch the Tower to clear blockers while making Treasures, and build a wide, disposable board. Mid: land Krenko, Baron of Tin Street, Midnight Reaper, or Gev, Scaled Scorch to convert dying creatures into cards, Treasures, and damage, cash in Treasures and Goblins with Fanatical Offering, and hold up Candy Grapple for their best threat. Late: use Krenko, Mob Boss to flood the battlefield, sacrifice the excess to Fanatical Offering and Torch the Tower for reach and cards, rebuy small Goblins with Alesha, and swing in for lethal. Wildcards needed: none, since every rare and mythic is already in your collection and the rest are commons and uncommons.
Sweepers such as Sunfall or Temporary Lockdown can erase the whole token army, so avoid overcommitting without a follow-up engine in hand. Graveyard hate shuts off Bloodghast, and the deck is soft to fliers and to fast combo that races before the board develops. The mana base is basic-heavy, so hands with awkward double-color requirements can be slow, and Fanatical Offering is card disadvantage if you sacrifice your last threat to it at the wrong time.
