Azorius Foundations Control
StandardDeck Strategy
A Standard control deck using only Foundations cards to slow the game with efficient removal, counterspells, and Day of Judgment as a sweeper, eventually winning by attrition.
Think Twice provides card advantage with flashback. Day of Judgment clears the board while your removal handles individual threats. Essence Scatter and Negate counter creature and noncreature spells respectively. Angelic Edict exiles any problematic permanent. Charmed Sleep and Pacifism lock down creatures permanently. Revoke Existence deals with artifacts and enchantments. The deck has no dedicated finisher but wins by outlasting the opponent and attacking with nothing.
Keep hands with at least 3 lands and early interaction (Essence Scatter or Smite the Monstrous). Mulligan hands without a play before turn 3.
Early: Use removal and counters to survive. Mid: Wipe the board with Day of Judgment. Draw cards with Think Twice. Late: Exile threats with Angelic Edict and lock creatures with Pacifism or Charmed Sleep. Eventually the opponent runs out of resources and you win on an empty board.
No dedicated win condition; games can go long. Vulnerable to planeswalkers and uncounterable spells. The deck relies heavily on exile and enchantment-based removal, which can be answered by enchantment removal.
