Kona Omniscience Cheat

A Standard Simic deck that uses Kona, Rescue Beastie's attack trigger to cheat Omniscience and other large permanents into play.

Poison Dart Frog ramps into Kona while providing a blocker with reach. Analyze the Pollen and Opt find Kona or lands, and Swiftfoot Boots gives Kona haste and hexproof so it can attack immediately and safely. When Kona attacks, it can put Omniscience directly onto the battlefield, after which Opt and Quick Study chain for free from the Omniscience discount. Negate and Royal Treatment protect Kona and key spells from removal, while Overlord of the Hauntwoods, Vaultborn Tyrant, and Sire of Seven Deaths serve as additional huge threats Kona can cheat out.

Keep hands with at least three lands, a turn-one or turn-two play like Opt, Poison Dart Frog, or Analyze the Pollen, and either Kona, Swiftfoot Boots, or Omniscience. Ship hands that have too many high-cost payoffs and no way to find Kona or survive early turns.

Early turns use Opt and Analyze the Pollen to find Kona and hit land drops, while Poison Dart Frog accelerates your mana. Cast Kona around turn three or four, equip Swiftfoot Boots, and attack to drop Omniscience or a large threat. Once Omniscience is on the battlefield, use free Opt and Quick Study to find more spells and end the game with Sire of Seven Deaths, Vaultborn Tyrant, or Overlord of the Hauntwoods. If Omniscience is unavailable, Kona can still cheat out any big permanent in hand.

The deck is slow before Kona attacks and depends heavily on one creature surviving. Instant-speed removal, counterspells, and aggressive decks can disrupt the plan before a payoff hits the battlefield. Hand disruption can take away Omniscience or Kona.
