A Selesnya deck using only cards from your collection that gains life through cat tokens and lifelink, with protection and board wipes.
- Leonin Warleader and Regal Caracal create multiple Cat tokens each turn. Anointed Procession doubles those tokens, and Authority of the Consuls gains life whenever an opponent casts a creature spell. Arahbo, the First Fang further boosts your cats with +1/+1 counters.
- Giada, Font of Hope and Lyra Dawnbringer give lifelink to your angels and cats, turning attacks into massive life gains. Herald of Eternal Dawn grants indestructible and gains life when creatures die.
- Fumigate clears the board while gaining life, and Restoration Angel can save a key creature or blink an ETB effect. Selfless Spirit protects your board from a board wipe.
Keep hands with 3 lands and a two- or three-drop cat (Leonin Warleader, Regal Caracal, or Reluctant Role Model). Mulligan hands with no early plays or only expensive spells. Avoid hands with too many non-creature spells.
Early: Play Authority of the Consuls to slow opponents and gain life. Drop Pawpatch Recruit or Reluctant Role Model. Use Gods Willing to protect them. Mid: Deploy Leonin Warleader or Regal Caracal to make tokens. Animated Procession doubles tokens. Play Giada to give lifelink to your angels and cats. Late: Use Fumigate to reset the board while gaining life. Drop Arahbo to pump your cat army. Herald of Eternal Dawn makes your board indestructible. Overwhelm with lifelink tokens.
Board wipes that exile (e.g., Sunfall) bypass Herald and Selfless Spirit. Fast red aggro can outpace your life gain if you don't draw early blockers. The deck has limited card draw and relies on topdecks.
