Judith's Carnage Control
BrawlDeck Strategy
A Rakdos midrange-control deck that uses Judith, Carnage Connoisseur to generate Devil tokens from targeted removal, grinding out opponents with efficient answers and powerful finishers.
Judith, Carnage Connoisseur triggers whenever you cast an instant or sorcery that targets a creature, creating a 2/2 Devil token. Use cheap removal like Fatal Push, Terminate, and Lightning Strike to kill opposing threats while building a token army. Orcish Bowmasters punishes opponents for drawing cards, and The One Ring provides card advantage and protection. Shadows' Verdict, Blasphemous Edict and Damnation clear the board of small and mid-sized threats, and your Devil tokens can then attack or block. The Celestus provides ramp and card filtering, helping you hit your land drops and find key spells.
Keep hands with 2-3 lands, at least one cheap removal spell (Fatal Push, Thoughtseize, etc.), and a way to generate card advantage. Mulligan hands with too many expensive finishers or no early interaction.
Early game, use hand disruption and cheap removal to disrupt opponents while deploying Judith if possible. Mid game, leverage Judith's tokens and powerful planeswalkers like Liliana of the Veil and Chandra, Torch of Defiance to control the board and generate value. Late game, drop haymakers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Valgavoth, and Wurmcoil Engine to close out the game. Use sweepers like Damnation, Shadows' Verdict and Blasphemous Edict to reset if behind.
The deck can struggle against heavy control decks with counterspells, as your key spells can be countered. It also has difficulty against decks that go over the top with huge creatures or combo finishes. Graveyard hate can hinder Kroxa and Liliana, Dreadhorde General. Be mindful of your life total when using Phyrexian Arena and Thoughtseize.
