Orzhov Lifegain Ascendancy

A 100-card Orzhov (White/Black) Commander/Brawl deck led by Elenda, the Dusk Rose that weaponizes lifelink and lifegain, turning every point of life into +1/+1 counters, flying Angel tokens, and opponent drain while death triggers keep the board full.
The engine has three interlocking parts. First, lifegain enablers: Soul Warden, Daxos, Blessed by the Sun, Ajani's Welcome, Linden, the Steadfast Queen, and Bishop of Wings gain life whenever creatures enter, which grows Ajani's Pridemate, Bloodthirsty Aerialist, Voice of the Blessed, and Righteous Valkyrie. Second, lifelink beatdown: Elenda, Baneslayer Angel, Liesa, Shroud of Dusk, and Healer's Hawk connect for life, while Heliod, Sun-Crowned, Light of Promise, and Shadowspear grant lifelink so every attacker feeds the machine — Resplendent Angel and Valkyrie Harbinger convert 5+ life gained in a turn into 4/4 flying Angels. Third, death: Cruel Celebrant, Bastion of Remembrance, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, and Ayara, First of Locthwain drain opponents whenever a creature dies, Teysa Karlov doubles every death trigger, and Elenda grows with each death. Luminous Broodmoth and Athreos, Shroud-Veiled turn your own creatures' deaths into value, while Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Marauding Blight-Priest flip every lifegain into direct damage to finish. Midnight Reaper and Dawn of Hope keep your hand full through the loop.
Keep hands with 2-3 lands, at least one mana rock (Arcane Signet, Skyclave Relic, or Mazemind Tome) or a cheap lifegain enabler, and one payoff. A hand that curves a turn-two Soul Warden/Daxos into a turn-three Ajani's Pridemate or Bloodthirsty Aerialist is a snap keep. Mulligan hands with zero or one land, no two-drop, or all expensive five-plus drops. Because the deck is singleton, prioritize hands with repeatable engines over narrow answers.
Early (turns 1-3): Deploy one-mana lifegain enablers (Soul Warden, Daxos, Ajani's Welcome) and follow with Ajani's Pridemate, Bloodthirsty Aerialist, or Voice of the Blessed. Use cheap removal (Bloodchief's Thirst, Heartless Act, Eliminate) to buy time. Mid (turns 4-6): Resolve Elenda and start attacking; drop Righteous Valkyrie, Resplendent Angel, and Bishop of Wings to go wide, and use Teysa Karlov, Cruel Celebrant, and Bastion of Remembrance to turn every trade into drain. Late (turn 7+): With Elenda large and lifelink Angels in the air, support with Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Vito to convert life into lethal reach, and keep a board wipe (Doomskar, Kaya's Wrath, Shatter the Sky) at the ready. Aetherflux Reservoir can close the game outright once you have gained enough life.
Board wipes (Wrath, Doomskar, Cleansing Nova) and graveyard hate blunt the death engine, and targeted removal on Elenda before she grows slows the plan considerably. Heavy-interaction decks that strip your lifegain enablers can strand you, and faster combo or aggro decks can out-race your life total — manage the pace with spot removal and avoid over-committing into sweepers.
