Rakdos Blitz Aggro

An aggressive Rakdos deck that uses cheap evasive threats, recursive attackers, and efficient removal plus hand disruption to close games quickly.

Forsaken Miner returns from the graveyard whenever you commit a crime with Torch the Tower, Lightning Strike, or Bitter Triumph, so your removal doubles as a way to keep attacking. Deep-Cavern Bat strips a key card from the opponent's hand while providing an evasive lifelinking body that races well. Greedy Freebooter trades into a blocker and leaves behind a Treasure for a burst of mana. Razorkin Needlehead punishes opponents for drawing extra cards, turning their own card advantage into damage, while Preacher of the Schism generates tokens or refills your hand every time it attacks.

Keep hands with 2-3 lands and an early play such as Forsaken Miner, Deep-Cavern Bat, or Greedy Freebooter. Keep hands that have a threat plus at least one piece of interaction (Torch the Tower, Lightning Strike, or Bitter Triumph). Mulligan hands with no turn-one or turn-two play, hands made up mostly of tapped lands, and hands with five or more lands.

Early: deploy one-drops and Deep-Cavern Bat, then use cheap removal to clear blockers and keep attacking. Mid: keep pressure with evasive creatures, chain removal spells to rebuy Forsaken Miner, and land Preacher of the Schism or Razorkin Needlehead to snowball damage. Late: use Bitter Triumph and burn to eliminate the last blockers or planeswalkers, and activate Restless Vents to break board stalls and push the final points of damage.

The deck plays tapped lands, so it can stumble on curve. It struggles against mass removal, lifegain strategies, and large blockers that stall the ground game. Without an early threat the deck falters, so mulligan aggressively for a playable curve.
