Boros Soldier Dragons
StandardDeck Strategy
A Boros midrange deck that uses resilient SOLDIER creatures and efficient removal to slow the game, then closes with hard-hitting dragons and Warleader's Call.
Warleader's Call pumps the soldier team and pings opponents whenever creatures enter. Barret Wallace and Zack Fair provide Soldier pressure, while Get Lost and Lightning Helix clear blockers. Dragonhawk and Twinflame Tyrant finish after the board is stabilized.
Keep hands with two to four lands, at least one early creature or removal spell, and a clear path to four mana. Mulligan hands with no early interaction or too many expensive dragons.
Early: deploy cheap soldiers and use removal to slow opposing aggro. Mid: land Warleader's Call, attack with soldiers, and use Sheltered by Ghosts or Get Lost to protect or clear. Late: cast dragons and use Day of Judgment only when behind.
Heavy counterspell control, enchantment removal on Warleader's Call, and fast combo starts. The deck can draw too many expensive dragons, so mulligan aggressively for early action.
