Orzhov Vampire Drain

A synergistic Orzhov Vampire deck that builds incremental advantage through lifegain, +1/+1 counters, and drain effects, then converts it into a lethal swing.

Bloodthirsty Aerialist grows with every lifegain trigger from Vampire of the Dire Moon, Sanctum Seeker, and Sorin's +1. Sanctum Seeker drains each opponent whenever a Vampire attacks, and combined with Mavren Fein's tokens, can drain for a lot. Champion of Dusk draws cards equal to the number of Vampires you control, refilling your hand; Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord can cheat it onto the battlefield for 3 mana. Cruel Celebrant drains when your creatures die, providing reach and resilience against board wipes. Elenda, the Dusk Rose grows when creatures die and leaves behind a token army when she dies, which can then be drained via Sanctum Seeker or pumped by Legion Lieutenant.

Keep hands with a mix of early plays (Vampire of the Dire Moon, Knight of the Ebon Legion, Legion Lieutenant) and at least one payoff (Bloodthirsty Aerialist, Sanctum Seeker, Sorin). Mulligan hands with too many high-cost cards or no removal against aggressive decks. Aim for 2-4 lands.

Early: Deploy cheap vampires and lords to pressure and build board. Use removal to clear blockers. Mid: Land a resource engine (Bloodthirsty Aerialist, Sanctum Seeker, Mavren Fein) and start draining. Use Sorin to cheat out a vampire or gain lifelink. Late: Use Champion of Dusk to refill, Elenda to recover from wipes, and finish with a big drain swing or evasive flying damage.

Vulnerable to board wipes (though Elenda and Cruel Celebrant help), efficient removal on key engines, and fast combo decks that ignore life totals. Also can struggle against decks with bigger creatures if removal is not timed well.
