Five-Color Domain Control
StandardDeck Strategy
A five-color midrange deck that uses efficient interaction and resilient threats to outvalue opponents.
Deep-Cavern Bat strips a key card while providing a flying body, and Doorkeeper Thrull taps down blockers to let your threats connect. Bitter Triumph and Long Goodbye answer early creatures, while Get Lost handles larger threats. Beza and Overlord of the Hauntwoods generate overwhelming board presence; Three Steps Ahead refuels and protects your plays.
Keep hands with at least two lands, one of which produces green or white, and a mix of interaction and a threat. Mulligan hands with zero green sources or hands that are all expensive spells.
Early: use Bushwhack to fix mana or fight, and deploy Deep-Cavern Bat or Doorkeeper Thrull to disrupt. Mid: trade resources with Bitter Triumph, Long Goodbye, and Get Lost while landing Beza or Overlord. Late: leverage Fountainport and Restless Vinestalk to grind out card advantage and close with evasive threats.
Fast aggro can overwhelm before your interaction comes online. Counterspell-heavy decks can punish your top-end, and blood moon effects hurt the greedy mana base.
