Rakdos Beatdown

A Rakdos aggressive deck that uses cheap creatures and direct damage to overwhelm opponents, with late-game reach from Bloodletter of Aclazotz and life drain from Virtue of Persistence.

Nightmare and Chomping Mastasaur are efficient early threats that can pressure life totals. Hexing Squelcher and Stitcher's Wings provide disruption by tapping down blockers or removing abilities. Starting Town can become a big creature with enough artifacts. Bloodletter of Aclazotz doubles life loss, turning any damage source into a lethal threat. Virtue of Persistence drains life and recurs a creature, providing sustain.

Keep hands with at least three lands and a two-drop creature or removal spell. Avoid hands with too many high-cost spells (5+ mana). Mulligan hands with one land or only situational cards.

Early: Play two-drops like Nightmare or Chomping Mastasaur on turn 2. Use Hexing Squelcher or Stitcher's Wings to disrupt opponent's key blockers or attackers. Attack aggressively.

Mid: Deploy Bloodletter of Aclazotz to double life loss. Use Virtue of Persistence to gain life and return a creature from graveyard. Continue attacking and using removal if needed.

Late: Overwhelm with multiple creatures or use Bloodletter to make any damage lethal. Virtue can grind out longer games.

Weak to board wipes (e.g., Sunfall) as creatures are small. Lacks card draw, so can run out of steam. Vulnerable to fast aggro that goes wider. Bloodletter is fragile and can be removed before doubling damage.
