Mono-Black Aggro

A relentless mono-black aggro deck that uses efficient creatures, hand disruption, and pinpoint removal to overwhelm opponents in current Standard.

• [[Deep-Cavern Bat]] and [[Bitter Triumph]] provide early hand disruption and removal, while [[Preacher of the Schism]] draws cards whenever you create a Food token from [[Greedy Freebooter]] or sacrifice a creature.
• [[Rat Out]] sacrifices a creature (like a Food token or a weenie) to destroy a blocker, fueling [[Enduring Tenacity]]’s revival ability when creatures die.
• [[Mosswood Dreadknight]] recurs from the graveyard, creating repeated pressure, and [[Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal]] serves as a finisher that can be accelerated by early aggression.
• [[Cut Down]] and [[Murder]] efficiently remove threats at all stages, keeping your attackers unblocked.

Keep hands with two or three lands and a curve of one-, two-, and three-drops. Prioritize hands with a one-drop like [[Greedy Freebooter]] or a disruptive two-drop like [[Deep-Cavern Bat]]. Avoid hands with four or more lands or no early plays.

• Graveyard hate (e.g., [[Rest in Peace]]) can shut down [[Mosswood Dreadknight]] and [[Enduring Tenacity]].
• Lifegain strategies can outpace the damage race if not disrupted early.
