Concept

A controlling Esper deck that uses Another Round as a repeatable mass-blink engine, converting Overlord of the Mistmoors, Entity Tracker, Enduring Tenacity, Enduring Curiosity, Beza, and Zoraline into overwhelming token swarms, life drain, and card advantage.

Synergies

Another Round only targets nontoken creatures, so Glimmer tokens made by Overlord of the Mistmoors never get exiled and stay permanently — each blink iteration adds two 1/1 flying Glimmers. Entity Tracker turns every enchantment creature that enters into a card, so blinking Overlord, Enduring Tenacity, Enduring Curiosity, or Entity Tracker itself draws multiple cards per iteration. Enduring Tenacity drains 2 per enchantment ETB, so a single X=2 Another Round on Overlord + Entity Tracker + Enduring Tenacity drains 6, gains 6, makes six Glimmers, and draws several cards. Beza, the Bounding Spring is an elite blink target: repeated ETBs stack Treasures, cards, and life. Zoraline, Cosmos Caller rebuys a cheap creature and provides an evasive body. Sheltered by Ghosts protects the engine piece that matters most.

Another Round Sizing

X=0 is {2}{W} (3 mana) for one blink — a fine value play on Beza or Overlord. X=1 is 5 mana for two iterations and is the sweet spot. X=2 is 7 mana for three iterations and is usually game-ending with Overlord, Entity Tracker, and Enduring Tenacity on board. Four copies are correct for consistency; the card is never dead because every creature in the deck is a legitimate standalone blink target.

Mulligan Strategy

Keep hands with 2-4 lands, at least one early interaction spell (Get Lost or No More Lies), and a value engine (Entity Tracker, Beza, or Enduring Curiosity). Keep Another Round only when you already have a strong blink target and a realistic path to 5+ mana. Mulligan hands with no interaction, no engine, or fewer than two lands.

Game Plan

Early game: sequence tapped surveil duals carefully, use Get Lost and No More Lies to survive aggro, and land Entity Tracker or Beza. Midgame: resolve Overlord of the Mistmoors, Enduring Tenacity, and Enduring Curiosity to build a value engine, using Sheltered by Ghosts to protect the key piece. Late game: cast Another Round at X=1 or X=2 targeting only nontoken creatures, then attack with Glimmers, drain with Enduring Tenacity, or overwhelm with card advantage. Day of Judgment resets only when far behind.

Best Win Conditions

Overlord of the Mistmoors token swarm is the primary win condition. Enduring Tenacity drains are the secondary clock against burn, aggro, and midrange. Entity Tracker plus Enduring Curiosity bury control decks in card advantage, and Restless Fortress provides a manland threat that dodges sorcery-speed wipes.

Sideboarding

15-card sideboard: 3 Duress, 2 Negate, 2 Ghost Vacuum, 2 Dawn's Truce, 2 Nowhere to Run, 2 Day of Judgment, 2 Sheltered by Ghosts. Aggro: +2 Day of Judgment, +2 Sheltered by Ghosts, +2 Nowhere to Run; -3 No More Lies, -2 Enduring Curiosity, -1 Zoraline. Control: +3 Duress, +2 Negate, +2 Dawn's Truce; -4 Get Lost, -2 Day of Judgment, -1 Restless Fortress. Midrange: +2 Sheltered by Ghosts, +2 Nowhere to Run; -3 No More Lies, -1 Enduring Curiosity. Reanimator/Graveyard: +2 Ghost Vacuum, +3 Duress; -4 Get Lost, -1 Day of Judgment. Combo: +3 Duress, +2 Negate, +2 Dawn's Truce; -4 Get Lost, -2 Day of Judgment, -1 Beza.

Weaknesses

Aggro can punish a slow draw before Another Round comes online. Instant-speed removal and counterspells can disrupt the key blink turn, and enchantment removal answers Entity Tracker and the Enduring cycle. The deck is soft to board wipes after committing Glimmer tokens and needs double white for Day of Judgment. Potential improvements: tune interaction counts to the exact metagame and consider a fifth cheap interactive spell over a top-end threat.

Legality Note

All cards listed are Standard-legal as of October 26, 2026. Mulldrifter and Ravenous Chupacabra were removed because they are not Standard-legal. The decklist below is exactly 60 main-deck cards; the sideboard is listed above.
