Mono-Red Edge Eternities Aggro
StandardDeck Strategy
A blistering Mono-Red aggro-burn deck that swarms the board with one-drop hasty creatures, grinds through blockers with cheap burn, and finishes with direct damage before the opponent can stabilize.
Coruscation Mage and Emberheart Challenger convert every cheap noncreature spell into extra damage — Shock, Burst Lightning, Lightning Strike, Turn Inside Out and Torch the Tower all deal face damage while also pumping your attackers. Fanatical Firebrand, Goblin Tomb Raider and Reckless Lackey provide a critical density of one-drops so you attack on turn two in nearly every game. Witchstalker Frenzy becomes a one-mana removal spell once your whole team is attacking, clearing the single biggest blocker and letting the rest of the squad connect. Turn Inside Out is your combat trick: it untaps nothing but adds power and toughness mid-combat to win chump blocks, and Fanatical Firebrand's sacrifice trigger is the final point or two of reach when the board stalls.
Keep any hand with two or three lands and at least two one-or-two-mana creatures. A one-land hand with a one-drop and a Shock is only a keep if you have another land coming. Mulligan aggressively away from four-plus-land hands, zero-creature hands, and hands that cannot attack on turn two. Never keep a hand that needs to draw three lands to function.
Early (turns 1-2): Deploy Fanatical Firebrand, Goblin Tomb Raider, Reckless Lackey or Coruscation Mage immediately, follow with Emberheart Challenger, and hold Shock, Burst Lightning or Torch the Tower to kill the first blocker so you keep attacking. Mid (turns 3-4): Attack with everything, use Witchstalker Frenzy on the largest blocker, and start aiming burn at the opponent's face once their life total is low enough that reach wins. Late (turn 5+): Stop trading creatures. Count your damage, send every Shock, Burst Lightning and Lightning Strike upstairs, sacrifice Fanatical Firebrand for the last point, and use Torch the Tower to exile any lifelink or reanimation creature that would buy the opponent time.
Lifegain and heavy spot removal are the worst matchups: if your first two threats die and the opponent gains life, your burn reach runs out. Cheap sweepers erase the board before Coruscation Mage or Emberheart Challenger can snowball. Because the deck only runs twenty lands and tops out at two mana, missing a land drop or flooding on lands is the most common way it loses to itself — be disciplined with mulligans and never keep a hand that cannot attack by turn two.
