Timeless Lifegain Angels

A mono-white lifegain deck that uses small lifegain triggers from creatures and enchantments to grow Ajani's Pridemate, Daxos, and Heliod, create angel tokens, and finish with Aetherflux Reservoir or a massive lifelink attack.

Impassioned Orator, Ajani's Welcome, and Authority of the Consuls gain life whenever a creature enters or an opponent casts a spell, powering up Ajani's Pridemate, Daxos, and Heliod. Speaker of the Heavens can create 4/4 Angel tokens when you have 27+ life. Inspiring Commander puts +1/+1 counters on creatures when you gain life, and Mondrak doubles tokens. Leonin Warleader and Regal Caracal provide lifelinking cats, while Goring Ceratops gives double strike. Lyra Dawnbringer pumps all angels and gives them lifelink. Aetherflux Reservoir can finish the game by dealing 50+ damage to your opponent.

Keep hands with at least two lands, a one-drop lifegain enabler (Impassioned Orator, Ajani's Welcome) and a two-drop payoff (Ajani's Pridemate, Daxos). Avoid hands with too many expensive cards or no early lifegain. Mulligan hands with only Aetherflux Reservoir or Mondrak without early support.

Early game: Play one-drop lifegain enablers to start gaining life. Turn 2 play Ajani's Pridemate or Daxos to start growing. Use Banishing Light to remove key threats. Mid game: Drop Inspiring Commander, Heliod, or Speaker to amplify lifegain and create angels. Late game: Deploy Leonin Warleader, Regal Caracal, Goring Ceratops, or Lyra to dominate combat. If you have gained enough life, activate Aetherflux Reservoir to finish the opponent. Farewell resets the board when behind.

Heavy spot removal can disrupt your lifegain chain. Board wipes reset your token army. Fast combo decks may outpace you before you establish a board. Aetherflux Reservoir can be countered or destroyed before activation. The deck lacks counterspells and can struggle against control with instant-speed removal.
