Colorless Calendar Control

A colorless artifact midrange-control deck that ramps with Gold Pan and Candy Trail, stabilizes with Meteor Golem and Lumbering Laundry, and wins with Chimil, The Aetherspark, or The Millennium Calendar.

Gold Pan and Candy Trail provide ramp and card draw while The Millennium Calendar grows from every permanent you untap and can double its counters for a sudden win. Chimil, the Inner Sun makes your artifacts uncounterable and generates card advantage, while The Aetherspark and Lumbering Laundry give resilient threats and Lavaspur Boots grant haste and ward to key attackers.

Keep hands with two to four lands plus an early ramp or artifact; mulligan hands with no lands or only expensive payoffs. A hand with The Millennium Calendar and Gold Pan is excellent.

Early, deploy Gold Pan and The Millennium Calendar to ramp and accumulate counters. Midgame, use Meteor Golem to remove threats and Lumbering Laundry to stabilize the board. Late, resolve Chimil, the Inner Sun or The Aetherspark, then win through Calendar counters, evasive artifact creatures, or a huge doubled Calendar.

Artifact hate, fast aggressive starts, and counterspells on key artifacts are problematic. The deck is mana-hungry and can stumble on expensive draws or flood on Wastes.
