Radiant Enchantment Control
StandardDeck Strategy
A mono-white enchantment control deck that answers creatures, artifacts, and enchantments with exile-based enchantment removal while grinding value from enchantment creatures, lifegain, and token payoffs.
Sheltered by Ghosts and Trapped in the Screen are enchantment-based removal that exile opposing nonland permanents, so each piece of interaction also advances your enchantment count and board presence. Glimmerlight keeps enchantments flowing while serving as an evasive threat, and Dazzling Angel plus Hinterland Sanctifier provide incidental lifegain and a body to stabilize against aggro. Disenchant cleanly answers problematic artifacts and enchantments that exile effects cannot target, while Overlord of the Mistmoors floods the board with flying Spirit tokens and Beza, the Bounding Spring creates tokens and gains life to close out games.
Keep hands with 2-4 lands, at least one cheap interaction spell (Sheltered by Ghosts, Trapped in the Screen, or Pacifism), and a reasonable threat or payoff. Mulligan hands that are all expensive payoffs or have no early interaction, especially on the draw where tempo matters most.
Early: deploy cheap lifelink creatures and use enchantment-based exile removal to trade efficiently while stabilizing your life total. Mid: resolve Glimmerlight and Dazzling Angel to build an enchantment board and gain life, then use Sheltered by Ghosts and Trapped in the Screen to exile key opposing permanents. Late: cast Overlord of the Mistmoors and Beza, the Bounding Spring to swarm the board with flying and lifegain tokens, then attack while holding Disenchant and exile removal for opposing bombs and artifacts.
Mass removal punishes the token and enchantment-creature plan, so avoid overcommitting and rebuild after wipes. Enchantment hate can strip your aura removal and buffs. The deck has limited card draw and can be outpaced by very fast aggro or combo decks that go over the top before your mythic payoffs land. This build deliberately limits rare wildcards, leaning on mythic payoffs and efficient commons/uncommons.
