Rakdos Bat Aggro

A budget Rakdos aggro deck that uses cheap evasive creatures and efficient red-black removal to clear blockers, disrupt the opponent's hand, and close games quickly with only two rare wildcards.

Deep-Cavern Bat gives you early flying pressure while exiling a key nonland card from the opponent's hand, slowing their stabilization. Slickshot Show-Off rewards you for casting cheap noncreature spells like Shock, Burst Lightning, Lightning Strike, Bitter Triumph, Fell, and Witchstalker Frenzy by growing into a must-answer threat. Fanatical Firebrand chips in haste damage and can be sacrificed to finish off a blocker or opponent. Vampire Nighthawk races with flying and lifelink, while your removal clears the way for attackers.

Keep hands with two or three lands, at least one cheap creature, and at least one removal spell. Mulligan hands with no early creature, more than four lands, or missing red or black mana entirely. A hand with Fanatical Firebrand or Deep-Cavern Bat plus a removal spell is ideal.

Early game: deploy Fanatical Firebrand or Deep-Cavern Bat, attack when profitable, and use Shock or Burst Lightning to remove key blockers. Mid game: land Slickshot Show-Off or Vampire Nighthawk, then use Bitter Triumph, Fell, Lightning Strike, and Witchstalker Frenzy to trade up and keep pressure on. Late game: use flying and lifelink from Vampire Nighthawk plus burn reach to finish close races, and avoid overextending into sweepers.

The deck has a low power ceiling and limited card advantage, so it can run out of gas if every threat is answered. It is vulnerable to sweepers, large lifegain, and decks with bigger creatures that outclass your small attackers. The mana base uses basic lands plus Bloodfell Caves, so occasional color stumbles are possible.
